REQUIREMENTS
• Proven experience within a busy Credit Control environment (ideally 3+ years)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including confident use of VLOOKUP
• Experience managing high-value, high-volume accounts
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
• High level of accuracy, organisation, and accountability

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller seeking a rewarding interim role within a professional and forward-thinking environment.
THE ROLE
This is a 6-month contract position offering a competitive annual salary of £28,250. The role will be based within a collaborative and professional team environment, with working hours of either 8.00am–4.00pm or 9.00am–5.00pm to suit your preference. As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in managing a regional ledger of up to £4 million, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt, reducing business risk, and maximising cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively chase overdue debt to maximise cash collection
• Log and manage customer disputes promptly to ensure swift resolution
• Liaise with customers, sales, and contract teams to resolve account issues
• Escalate challenging accounts to the Credit Control Manager to minimise company risk
• Monitor and maintain 60+ day debt levels in line with agreed targets
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in accordance with the regional framework
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external contacts
• Prepare monthly debt review updates and reports for management
• Use Excel to communicate effectively with customers on outstanding balances (VLOOKUP knowledge essential)
• Visit customer sites when required to resolve issues
• Support the Credit Control Manager with month-end reporting and analysis
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
