THE COMPANY

Are you a Paralegal with at least 12 months of experience, a Legal Assistant with conveyancing expertise, or an experienced Legal Secretary seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a well-respected legal practice based in Walsall, is looking to recruit a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to join their Residential Development department. REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact confidently with clients and colleagues.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal case management systems.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
• Previous experience in residential conveyancing or property transactions, ideally within a residential development setting.
• Studying towards or completion of a legal qualification (CILEx, LPC, SQE) would be advantageous, though applications from experienced Legal Secretaries are equally welcomed.
• Sound understanding of property law and conveyancing processes, combined with commercial awareness and client confidentiality.

THE ROLE

In this role, you will work closely with the Lead Solicitor to support residential property development transactions. Your duties will include:
• Drafting legal documentation, such as contracts and leases.
• Managing the conveyancing process for residential developments.
• Maintaining accurate and organised files, records, and correspondence relating to transactions.
• Undertaking legal research, including case law, legislation, and property development procedures.
• Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progression.
• Assisting fee earners with administrative and legal tasks, including document preparation and file management.
• Ensuring all required paperwork is prepared accurately and efficiently in line with set deadlines.
