REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this role, you should presently be working in Payroll and be CIPP qualified. You will possess a wealth of knowledge in the manufacturing sector and have a deep understanding of the manufacturing environment. You should demonstrate confidence when interacting with management and senior staff across different company departments and exhibit a commitment to compliance and legislation.

THE ROLE

As the Payroll Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director, taking on full responsibility for the payroll function at a significant manufacturing site. Your key responsibilities will ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time, weekly and all new starters are processed correctly and on time. You will be responsible for reviewing the current payroll process and provide improvement solutions and for processing the payroll on a weekly basis, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and in a timely manner, including the processing of starters, leavers and pay amendments, and checking the payroll information prior to it being submitted to the outsource payroll provider. You will manage the auto-enrolment procedure and processing pension and ensuring contributions are made correctly and be issuing P45’s and other HMRC forms for all site related employees/ leavers. Handling payroll queries in a timely manner and in line with the Company’s SLA and completion of monthly payroll reporting to the Finance Team. Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager or senior management to assist with the operation of the business.
