THE COMPANY

A local business located in Rugeley is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a permanent position.

THE ROLE

As an Accounts Assistant, you will report to the Finance Manager and collaborate with a dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will involve ensuring the accurate processing of supplier transactions. This role demands the swift and precise handling of high volumes of purchase invoices. Additionally, you will reconcile supplier statements with the ledgers, contribute to the processing of payment runs, including Proforma invoices from suppliers. Handling supplier inquiries will be part of your role, and you will also be responsible for raising sales invoices, allocating incoming cash, and performing general ad-hoc accounting tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

To excel in this role, you should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar position. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Strong organisational and administrative capabilities, combined with keen attention to detail, are crucial for success. You must be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills are highly desirable. Familiarity with using Excel spreadsheets and the Sage system for registering invoices would be advantageous. This position entails full-time office work.
