THE COMPANY

A local business based in Shenstone, known for their expertise and professionalism are currently recruiting for a Credit Manager on a full time, permanent basis. You will lead a small team of credit controllers and have a solid working background in Credit Control and Accounts Receivable at a senior level.

The office is open plan with plenty of room to work at a 2-metre distance. You will be expected to demonstrate core competencies but also an additional flair which makes you stand out. The role will however be office based. Salary is up to £32,000 with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. THE ROLE

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and busy team reporting to the Finance Manager. You will be overseeing the efficient management of the company sales ledger. Providing full support to 3 credit controllers within the team, including motivation, setting KPI’s and training. You will also be responsible for a large ledger of you own accounts varying from small to large sized businesses. Chasing outstanding debt via telephone, letter, email and legal proceedings and liaising with heads of department and senior directors on weekly/monthly basis to provide update regards debtor reports. Liaising with clients on daily basis to deal with invoice queries and assisting with month end accounting procedures. You will also ensure all the incoming cash is allocated correctly and is balanced correctly. Preparing bad debt provision and ensuring the team are meeting internals KPI’s and develop and manage a credit policy for processes and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior Credit Control capacity with a very hands-on approach. You will have worked in a corporate environment and have experience of leading and managing a team. You will be a good problem solver and be very customer focused with excellent communication and time management skills. GCSE English and Maths and if you can speak French then this would be an added advantage. Knowledge of Sage and Excel is desirable too.
