A local manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Cannock require an experienced Accounts Assistant for a permanent contract.
You will have a good, recent working knowledge of Sage and Excel. Live locally and able to start work immediately. A good knowledge of the finance function including both Sales and Purchase ledger with knowledge of Sage payroll being an advantage. The ability to work in a small team within a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be working in a small and friendly finance team ensuring all suppliers transactions are processed accurately. You will process purchase invoices with high attention to detail, reconcile supplier statements to the ledgers, process payment runs and deal with any supplier queries. You will reconcile the sales ledger, chase payments and allocate cash. Additional duties will include reconciling Bank statements, petty cash and covering the weekly payroll of 50 staff during holidays and sickness. Working on Sage and Excel you will need little supervision and available to start work on a short notice.
The company offer good working conditions and onsite parking. Working hours 8.30am – 5.00pm. 28 days holiday with a salary of £20,200.
