Our client, an established Wednesbury based manufacturing business require a Production Manager for a permanent contract. An industry leader in their category and a major supplier to the Automotive sector. The client operates a 24-hour working pattern and processes an extremely high volume of customer parts. Quality and service are expected and assured. The Company is accredited to ISO and IATF standards.


Keys skills required for the Production Manager include; a strong character with a proven ability to drive through cultural change, educated to degree level with a firm understanding of business IT systems and procedures, experience of managing teams of people in a high volume/capacity environment, NEBOSH qualified or IOSH minimum, Black Belt Lean qualification with a record of implementing continuous improvement projects, practical hands on experience at adding value to a business and team, excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a current valid full driving license required.


The Production Manager will be reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this is a dynamic role that requires a comprehensive understanding of the following responsibilities; leadership, motivation and direction of all production staff, day to day management of all production processes and operations, monitoring WIP levels, meet customer demands and control processing with FIFO principles, driving cultural change and optimise plant efficiency, planning and exceed internal KPi targets for efficiency, quality, Health and Safety and customer satisfaction, conducting a daily touch down meeting of production staff to discuss efficiency, customer critical requirements, new orders, plant PPM’s and any production related issues, leading improvement projects in line with Lean principles in the elimination of waste through all areas, ensuring critical information flow and planning between shifts and personnel, taking part in APQP and feasibility meetings to ensure successful introduction of new work, interviewing and recruiting new production staff as and when required, conducting disciplinary meetings where necessary and maintain personnel and training records.


The company offer excellent working conditions with onsite parking. Working hours are 8.00am – 5.00pm.
